  1. Didn’t seem to be the smoothest transition. Of course the one day your site is totally down is the day I needed the accordion js files. :-)
    Couldn’t find em anywhere else which was a bummer.

    Might have been smoother to setup the new site at MT, then when it’s all working switch DNS to point to the new site.

    Anyway. thx for coming back online! :-)

  2. i am waiting fr the new cool stuffs :) and thanks for the lightwindow and accordion amazing !

  3. Hi,

    looks like accordion stop working with the latest prototype/script.aculo combination,
    mean prototype 1.6.0.2 and script.aculo.us 1.8

    Thanks

  4. Hey Kevin.

    Absolutely LOVE lightwindow. Just a comment RE your blog’s CSS. Make sure you’re using Both Variants of Lucida Sans as a body font.

    font-family: “Lucida Sans”,”Lucida Sans Unicode”,”Lucida Grande”,helvetica,arial,verdana, sans-serif;

    System font on the PC is Lucida Sans Unicode and Lucida Grande on the Mac.

    Just wanted to let u know.

    Thanks again for all the work on Lightwindow. Much appreciated.

  5. @andrew: I created an updated version of accordion that works with new version of prototype 1.6 and scriptaculous 1.8. I also added a call back for when a accordion item is clicked.
    Please check it out and tell me what you think.
    Hopefully Kevin will think my updates are worthy enough to add to this site.

    @Kevin: I’m unable to get to your Accordion Comments. Hopefully it is just my computer….

    Thanks,

    Hi Kevin,

    First of all, great work. The lightwindow stuff is just crazy, I bet it was really hard work :)
    I am noticing some problems with Lightwindow and the latest opera browser (windows), the image resize seems to work wrong. By the way, I have a suggestion: is it possible to move the inline backgrounds declaration from the lightwindow.js and use css classes instead? The problem is, it seems that the rel path of the images in the js depends on where my .html stays; I am not being able to get the correct path of the images from the js, if the js uses css classes only it would be easier to reference the correct image paths.

    Thanks!

  16. thank you:)

  17. Interested in (or know of someone) who could set Lightwindow up for me on my wordpress blog?
    Tried it myself earlier today and totally botched it. Programming is not my expertise and am willing to pay for talent I don’t have. Great work you’ve done w/Lightwindow, just would like to get it working. Thanks in advance,

  18. thank you…

  19. Kevin,
    Sorry to bother you on moving day - warning I’m a designer, not a programmer. I’m helping a friend with a site - from flash we wanted to launch your lightwindow.
    1. When i copy your files directly to my server they don’t work in Safari - but you site does. Will this work from Safari / Mac?
    2. I’m trying to learn how to use the flash External API call to read in your javascript. Do you know whether that will work?

    I have to say, I’ve looked at a lot of these lightwindows/lightboxes - and yours is just sweet. Thanks, col

    Hi, sorry if you’ve already answered this before, but is there anyway using the accordian
    to stop the content flashing on for a second before the accordion opens that content, when the toggle is opened more than once. I included the var from the bottom of the how to use section but still get the flash. This accordion is way better than any others I’ve used. Cheers

  21. thank you…..

    Is there a way to make all of the toggles display on load?

    I tried this and it didn’t work:

    // Open second one
    bottomAccordion.activate($$(’#vertical_container .accordion_toggle’)[0]);
    bottomAccordion.activate($$(’#vertical_container .accordion_toggle’)[1]);
    bottomAccordion.activate($$(’#vertical_container .accordion_toggle’)[2]);
    bottomAccordion.activate($$(’#vertical_container .accordion_toggle’)[3]);
    bottomAccordion.activate($$(’#vertical_container .accordion_toggle’)[4]);

    And then close onclick?

    Thanks!

  23. thank you….

    Please, is there any way to display different BG images for every row or column in your splendid script, that would be very helpful for me, mostly the horizontal way.

    Thank you very much.

  25. thank you….
